Life, how did you do it? To work out that to prolong the defiance of existence, you needed to feast on yourself. Each individual gives up their being so that the whole may continue. But before your own sacrifice, you get to live. What a thing, to share life’s alter. Today will be glorious precisely because it contains the promise of its vanquishing. You are only made defiant by having something inevitable to confront. Turns out, that courage is a good tactic before predetermination. You cannot choose how you will end. But you sure as hell can how you live.
