Appreciate this dear Iestyn! Hope you're settling into the new home brother - was thinking of you and wondering how things are! Hope some new tunes are popping out - take care, in heart from afar
Jim! I am so sorry for my lack of response and contact of late. Please know that you too are in my heart (always) from afar. My break from social media has turned into an extended break for sure, but I'm learning to be okay with that. I will come back, with more songs and more to say too. 4 recorded and 2 more to go this summer. Then a full year's worth of releases! Enjoying tapping into my rock roots! Cornwall has certainly become my home, for which I'm grateful. After 4 3 addresses in 4 months, I'm moving into my 'permanent' place next weekend. I was wondering if I could ask a huge favour? Would it be possible for me to buy a vinyl record or poster of, or anything related to You're Gonna Be Someone? Of course, I'll pay whatever for shipping. I've been thinking of asking you for a while. I'm sure you know how much your music, and in particular this song, means to me. My new place is ready for it up on the wall! A continuous reminder to dare to be me. If this is at all possible, just let me know/message me and I'll work around you! Absolutely no problem at all if not.
So much love, Jim. Thank you as always, for offering your heart and guidance.
Love, Iestyn (watching silently for the moment, but always being inspired) ❤️ x
My man there is no sorry at all necessary. I am so grateful for every time you appear Iestyn, and there is never any form of expectancy - just a thankfulness for your support when you do.
I think that everyone has their own process - and its only in recent years I've been more focused on being consistent on social media.
Though there is so much noise about doing this - I honestly think you have to find your own process and be in it.
That means no always being on social media - and then when you use it, working out how you want to use it and on your own terms.
I think you are living, making big moves, listening to yourself and all the while, being true to the music inside you.
Sometimes letting it emerge at its own pace -and yourself too - is exactly the thing.
Social media is a useful tool, but follow your gut with this stuff pal.
You don't need to do it all at once either.
And regardless of what anyone says - social media is not life or living itself.
So many people's identities are caught up in it, and its such a trap.
So where ever you're at - I'm with you and support you!
Really great you've managed to get four songs recorded - that's really so cool. I'm in a similar zone myself. Back in the studio next week, and working up a bunch of stuff - but at their own pace.
Regarding the Vinyl - I am working on The Isolation Diaries vinyl release and hope to have it ready quite soon!
Let me also have a look regarding the poster - what a lovely idea, humbled. Makes it all worthwhile for me dear Iestyn!
Sending massive love, in all you do.
Keep on brother - good things are going to come where you lay down your anchor - you deserve it, so very much. Stick in there, keep going and keep you x
Jim! I know you said in your latest reply that no apologies are necessary, but I feel like my lack of reply for 4 months warrants an apology. So with that, a massive apology, Jim!
Thank you so much for your awesome, lovely, kind and inspiring words! They meant the world to me then and still do now, as I navigate a slightly difficult phase in my life. The black dog and anxiety returned after many years of absence over the past few months, and it's hit me for six! This extended my absence from social media and connecting with others. But the good news is, I'm on the road to recovery and the fire still burns within me.
I've been on the periphery, but I'm sure you're continuing to do amazing things, and please just know that I think of you often. All the belief that you have in me keeps that fire burning man. You so inspire me, Jim and I am so grateful for you.
So, without rambling on, this is a message of gratitude for you, message of hope for me, along with an apology for my lack of contact. Truly, Jim. But most importantly, a massive THANK YOU for your support and for inspiring me. Keep being you too x
Goosebumps. Beautiful, Jim. Just what I needed. Thank you x
